The HBA's Trustees' Annual Report and Accounts for the year 1st September 2014 to 31st August 2015 have been published, ahead of the AGM on 19th March.

Sir Terry Wogan: Former HBA Patron Dies Aged 77

Former HBA Patron & BBC Broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan has died this morning aged 77.

In a statement, his family said: "Sir Terry Wogan died today after a short but brave battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his family. While we understand he will be missed by many, the family ask that their privacy is respected at this time."

Helping Patients Get Interactive

Volunteers at Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells are now able to get more interactive with their listeners in the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, Tonbridge Cottage Hospital and surrounding community, thanks to a project funded by the Hospital Broadcasting Association and the Southborough and Pembury Rotary Club who have enabled the team to buy and set up a special Communications Hub and Text Service.

The awards are divided into different categories, each one recognising a specific area of excellence; some are awarded to individuals, others to stations.

BHBN receives award in recognition of its services to Birmingham

Birmingham Hospital Broadcasting Network (‘BHBN’) has received a coveted award for its services to patients in Birmingham from The Birmingham Society.

BHBN, the volunteer run hospital radio station, based in the Heritage Building of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, was founded in 1952 and is one of the largest and longest established hospital radio services in the UK.
