HBA Trustees

The Hospital Broadcasting Association is managed and operated on an entirely voluntary basis, with no paid members of staff. The HBA trustees come from all walks of life and offer a range of skills to ensure the successful management of the Association for it's members.




Grant McNaughton, HBA ChairmanChairman - Grant McNaughton

Grant McNaughton is the current HBA Chairman.

Grant is also a member of Radio Grapevine.

The HBA Chairman manages the Trustee Board through regular meetings, day-to-day management and lead the strategic direction of the Association.

Grant also has responsibility for the Member Events Executive function which oversees the delivery of our annual National Conference & Hospital Radio Awards, which celebrates hospital broadcasting across the UK. In addition, Grant manages the development of our regional HBA Roadshows.

Vice Chairman - Graham Medhurst

Graham Medhurst is the current HBA Vice-Chairman. Graham also is the current Member Support Executive, leading our membership Specialist Advisors and membership communications.

Graham is also a member of Hospital Radio Chelmsford.

Secretary - Nigel Dallard

Nigel Dallard is the current HBA Secretary.

Nigel is also a member of Winchester Hospital Radio and Radio Airedale.

Nigel's role involves the legal secretarial roles of the Association from management of meetings of the members and trustees, to ensuring the legal obligations of the HBA are discharged.

Treasurer - Mike Sarre

Mike Sarre is the current HBA Treasurer.

Mike is also a member of Hospital Radio Norwich.

The treasurer's role is to ensure the Association sets and maintains it's budgets, oversee the day-to-day management and publication of it's accounts and maintain a register of the Association assets.
