Anker Radio, the working name for Nuneaton Area Hospital Broadcasting Service, was established in 1979 and broadcasts to George Eliot Hospital, 24 hours a day.

Apple FM

Although now a Community Radio Station broadcasting on the FM frequency, Apple FM has it's roots embedded in Hospital Radio and was established in 1969. In addition to broadcasting on the FM waveband, it also broadcasts to Musgrove Park Hospital, 24 hours a day via the Hospedia Bedside entertainment units. Apple FM was awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2015.

On 11th May 2013 Taunton Hospital Radio evolved into Apple FM, an OfCom licensed FM Community Radio Station to serve the Caring Community of the borough of Taunton Deane and beyond.
Now broadcasting on 97.3FM in the locality, on www.applefm.co.uk, through their dedicated smartphone App and to the Patients in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, Apple FM Broadcasts 24 hours a day with live shows starting with Breakfast from 7-9am, through Drivetime from 4-6pm and on to end of live programming at 10pm (Midnight on Friday nights), Apple FM serves those in care, Carers, family and friends of those in care and carers, Dentist & Doctor waiting areas, forging solid links with the community around it, including local Schools & Colleges.

Auckland Hospital Radio was established in 1978 and broadcasts to Bishop Auckland Hospital and The Richardson Hospital in Barnard Castle.

Ayr Hospital Radio

Ayr Hospital Radio, was established in 1953 and broadcasts via the bedside entertainment system to University Hospital Ayr and to Ailsa Hospital (Ayr) and Biggart Hospital in Prestwick 24 hours a day. We also offer an online streaming service where you can listen to us anywhere via our official website. Our live studio broadcasting hours are 10am to 9pm Mon-Fri and 9am to 9pm Sat-Sun.

Along with the committee we require around 35-40 people for our on-air presentation throughtout the week and if you can spare a couple of hours a week and you'd like to join us as a presenter you should contact the station directly if you are interested.

Barts Radio is a new station for 2016, formerly broadcasting as Barts & London Chest Hospital Radio, until the closure of London Chest Hospital in 2015. The team behind the station have been in HR since the 1980s at various London stations. 20 people are involved in the day-to-day running of the station.

Bath Hospital Radio, was established in 1964 and broadcasts to 2 hospitals, 24 hours a day. Bath Hospital Radio transitioned from being a registered charity to being a Community Interest Company in 2016.
